Ammonite-pattern armour

The heavy deep-sea combat suit worn by elite dredge marines. Originally influenced by the enormous ammonite creatures of the deep, with their jagged shells, this armour has multiple variations and styles. This armour is worn exclusively by dredge lords, tide masters and deep shroud.

Commander Thalpior

The former high protector of the dredge. Originally refused to follow Mthulus into abyssal heresy, but has now succumbed to its lure. Still, the rift between Thalpior and Mthulus endures.

Death shells

The demonic machine constructs created in the deepest dredge factoriums. Part machine and part demon, there are two known kinds:

  1. Death shell crawlers; scuttling and twitching slug-like monstrosities, with distinct sea-shell armour
  2. Death tide drones; similar to their crawler brothers, but can swim and even hover above the surface.

Dredge

A post-human aquatic faction descended from marine colonists of Krathus IV. Once protectors of the ocean world, they have now succumbed to abyssal corruption.

Dredge marines

The Dredge's armoured infantry of underwater soldiers from the planet Krathus IV. They have spent thousands of years under the seas and have grown marine-like mutations.

Dredgepede

keeper of the ledgers and histories of the dredge, the dredgepede bellows forth morale-driving commands from his mouthpiece, blasting through the slime-ridden pipes of a top-mounted foghorn.

Narwhal-pattern Armour

The standard deep-sea combat suit worn by dredge infantry. Named for its dorsal-mounted horn, it is designed to operate in extreme oceanic pressure, with reinforced plating and bio-circulatory respiration systems.

Prime lord Mthulus

The almighty leader of the Dredge. A once noble colonizer of worlds, now a mutated demonic monstrosity

Salten waters

The dredge term for the spiritually “tainted” water of Krathus IV.

Sea grub

The pattern of underwater tank, used by the dredge. They are designed to crawl along the sea bed with hefty screw tracks. They have a unique crab shell-inspired hull. There are four variants:

  1. Carrier; transports medium troops
  2. Hunter; uses specialised turrets to hunt elite enemies
  3. Destroyer; an artillery tank that lobs sea mines
  4. Sea raider; the largest sea grub which transports heavy marines

Sire walkers (dredge variant)

Massive biomechanical warforms used by the dredge. These walker-constructs are ritually bonded to a crew of three and have been modified from ancient drilling mechs.
