Icons of the Dredge Legion

The Dredge legion use two main icons.

The Dredge legion icon is a circle with a vertical line going through the middle. It based off the ancient Phi symbol, meaning the numeral 500. It represents the first 500 Dredge warriors that were created for Mthulus, to take with him on his expeditionary missions to recover lost artifacts that were thought to be of great importance. The legion icon can be used anywhere in dredge design, though it mostly appears on the left shoulderpad of both Narwhal pattern and heavy Ammonite pattern armour types, as well as on the sides of tank hulls.

The tentacled skull is a secondary emblem used by elite Dredge warriors. These are of the rank lieutenant and higher. The tentacled skull comes in multiple forms and variations, and usually decorates the left knee or right shoulder of Dredge lieutenants. It can also appear on the breast of Commanders and Dredge Lords, as well as Dredge sea grub tanks.
