Sea grub destroyer tank (Digital Download)
Regular price $35.00 AUDUpdated version 2.0 (for a list up changes to this set, see end of description)
In most dredge assaults, the deafening thunder of a foreign ocean crashing down is all around you. As the dredge legion rip a hole through your sky, a portal connects you to their rotten sea world. Invasion is imminent. In deep continental gorgeways light years away, a colony of sea grub destroyer tanks send deathly ordinance from their abyss-shaker maws through the portal, to rain down on you from your own sky. After their initial bombardments, these scuttling screw tanks join the main desolation force. Relentlessly sliding towards you, using their brutal close-range weapons to eradicate you from your hiding place.
This multipart set allows you to make a sea grub destroyer tank. The set comes with 21 pre-supported parts, ready for 3d printing. This includes:
- 3 visor options
- 1 main hull (folder includes 2 pre-supported hulls, one is designed to fit smaller printers and the other is designed in a more optimal position, for larger printers)
- 1 carapace top
- 1 back engine panel
- 1 dozer blade
- 2 sponsons
- 1 sponson gun sprue (comprised of 2 tide spewers and 2 depth cannons)
- 1 machine gun sprue (comprised of 2 gun types and 2 eyeballs)
- 1 abyss shaker mortar blast
- 1 abyss shaker eyeball (to use instead of the blast effect)
- 1 starboard screw (print x3 of these)
- 1 port screw (print x3 of these)
- 1 starboard gear (print x2 of these)
- 1 port gear (print x2 of these)

- 1 lobster claw (to use instead of the port side screw tip)
IMPORTANT NOTE: there are 3 starboard side screws and 2 starboard side gears (labelled STAR), plus 3 port side screws and 2 port side gears (labelled PORT). You must use the starboard screws and gears on the right side of the tank, and the port side screws and gears on the left side of the tank. Print 3 of each screw and 2 of each gear.
Folder includes both supported and unsupported parts, as well as the LYS file, in case you need to adjust your supports.
Version 2.0 updates
- The entire top carapace has been redesigned, creating a totally unique design of mutated tank, with coral tubes growing from the back of the tank, twisting up into a gaping, toothed maw, which lobs sea mines as ordinance. The mechanical mortar has been replaced with this organic, mutated reef design as more fitting for the dredge faction.
- The hull has been combined into one section. It is no longer split in two halves, to help prevent warping and gaps when fitting. The hull has also been made more resin-efficient in this way.
- Tabs have been added between the hull and top carapace to ensure accurate fitting.
- Optional mortar blast effect has been added. This is a sludge stream with a sea mine at the end of it, as fitting for the underwater theme. This part can be swapped for a creepy eyeball, in the throat of the maw.
- The back section of the tank has been made a separate part. It has also had one of the dredge icons added to it, a skull with tentacles.
- The port side and starboard side screws and gears have each been labelled as either ‘port’ or ‘star’, which eliminates confusion during assembly.
- Now that the tank is completely enclosed, the interior details of the tank have been removed to be more resin-efficient. This includes pipes, vents and hatches.
-
Included an extra screw tip, for those who wish to have two screw tips instead of the lobster claw.
